OVERVIEW:

Our client is a leading energy SaaS, managed services, and consulting company. Due to recent expansion they are seeking an experienced BMS & Controls Sales Engineer to expand its presence in the Northeast. The ideal candidate is an independent thinker who can adapt and learn quickly and knows how to work with both sales and technical teams to analyze and develop opportunities. RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Serve as the Company’s resident Building and Controls expert.
  • Work with Sales Managers to provide technical assistance:
    • Participate in pre-sales meetings.
    • Identify opportunities via facility surveys and client meetings.
    • Work with clients and partners on connectivity projects (BacNet, Modbus, LON, etc.)
    • Develop Sequence of Operations and detailed narratives to provide to programming team.
    • Assist in development and presentation of proposals.
    • Assist the technical team with system installation/integration as needed.
  • Add and maintain relevant information in Salesforce CRM.
  • Work with the Analysts, Auditors and other members of the AEI team to provide a great customer experience.
  • Maximize customer relationship, establish credible trusted advisor role & build loyalty.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Demonstrated competence in buildings, building controls, HVAC equipment and other industrial systems.
  • 5+ years of experience working with BMS and controls in large facilities.
  • Previous experience with Building Controls, Cloud, IoT, Energy Analytics or Energy Management highly beneficial.
  • Superior organizational and time-management skills, with tremendous attention to detail.
  • Outstanding communications and client-facing skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field of study
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S.

This company is currently seeking to add a BAS Controls Engineer/ Automation Specialist to their team. This person shall be responsible for evaluating various BAS functions and capabilities for performance, and identify software opportunities that enhance the system operability to improve energy efficiency. The successful candidate will be able to identify energy efficiency solutions and participate in various phases of a project including control testing, create the revised sequence of operations, programming configuration, and start-up of a variety of automated processes. They must demonstrate a track record of proficiency with control systems and have a proven ability to troubleshoot. This person will also be responsible for the development of a training curriculum for system operators. The position reports to the Senior Energy Manager.

REQUIREMENTS:

- Strong working knowledge of building automation systems and how these systems can be enhanced to improve energy efficiency (Siemens,
Andover and Johnson Controls systems)
- Create a BAS training curriculum that can be utilized to support operator training.
- Provide on-the-job training to BAS operators.
- Evaluate, identify and troubleshoot BAS issues and deficiencies
- Revise current sequence of operations to improve system energy performance.
- Manage a diverse environment with focus on client service
- Create formal documentation including memorandums, reports, status reports, etc.

QUALIFICATIONS:

- Bachelor's degree in an Engineering or Science discipline is preferred or equivalent combination of education and technical experience.
- Possession of a Control Systems Engineer (CSE) License is preferred but not required.
- 8+ years of direct experience in the building automation controls environment

Job Description

The Energy Manager shall be responsible for supporting comprehensive energy programs and projects for new and existing clients throughout the New York City region. Responsibilities:

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
