OVERVIEW:

Our client is a leading energy SaaS, managed services, and consulting company. Due to recent expansion they are seeking an experienced BMS & Controls Sales Engineer to expand its presence in the Northeast. The ideal candidate is an independent thinker who can adapt and learn quickly and knows how to work with both sales and technical teams to analyze and develop opportunities. The candidate can work effectively independently or as part of an agile team. The candidate will provide technical support, project development, and technical sales presentation support. We are looking for self-propelled professionals.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Serve as the Company’s resident Building and Controls expert.
  • Work with Sales Managers to provide technical assistance:
    • Participate in pre-sales meetings.
    • Identify opportunities via facility surveys and client meetings.
    • Work with clients and partners on connectivity projects (BacNet, Modbus, LON, etc.)
    • Develop Sequence of Operations and detailed narratives to provide to programming team.
    • Assist in development and presentation of proposals.
    • Assist the technical team with system installation/integration as needed.
  • Add and maintain relevant information in Salesforce CRM.
  • Work with the Analysts, Auditors and other members of the AEI team to provide a great customer experience.
  • Maximize customer relationship, establish credible trusted advisor role & build loyalty.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Demonstrated competence in buildings, building controls, HVAC equipment and other industrial systems.
  • 5+ years of experience working with BMS and controls in large facilities.
  • Previous experience with Building Controls, Cloud, IoT, Energy Analytics or Energy Management highly beneficial.
  • Superior organizational and time-management skills, with tremendous attention to detail.
  • Outstanding communications and client-facing skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field of study
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S.

Job Description: The Lighting Project Development Engineer will be capable of turnkey lighting project development. Responsibilities will include performance of technical lighting audits, design and assignment of appropriate retrofits, electric and demand energy savings calculations, generation of bills of materials and subcontractor scopes of work for installation and providing support to sales and construction teams.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Works with sales and construction to technically develop and implement lighting retrofit conservation projects.
  • Independently perform detailed lighting survey and develop line by line retrofit design from survey results.
  • Write audit reports describing baseline conditions, proposed improvements, basis for savings and m&v methodologies.
