OVERVIEW:

Our client is a leading energy SaaS, managed services, and consulting company. Due to recent expansion they are seeking an experienced BMS & Controls Sales Engineer to expand its presence in the Northeast. The ideal candidate is an independent thinker who can adapt and learn quickly and knows how to work with both sales and technical teams to analyze and develop opportunities. RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Serve as the Company’s resident Building and Controls expert.
  • Work with Sales Managers to provide technical assistance:
    • Participate in pre-sales meetings.
    • Identify opportunities via facility surveys and client meetings.
    • Work with clients and partners on connectivity projects (BacNet, Modbus, LON, etc.)
    • Develop Sequence of Operations and detailed narratives to provide to programming team.
    • Assist in development and presentation of proposals.
    • Assist the technical team with system installation/integration as needed.
  • Add and maintain relevant information in Salesforce CRM.
  • Work with the Analysts, Auditors and other members of the AEI team to provide a great customer experience.
  • Maximize customer relationship, establish credible trusted advisor role & build loyalty.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Demonstrated competence in buildings, building controls, HVAC equipment and other industrial systems.
  • 5+ years of experience working with BMS and controls in large facilities.
  • Previous experience with Building Controls, Cloud, IoT, Energy Analytics or Energy Management highly beneficial.
  • Superior organizational and time-management skills, with tremendous attention to detail.
  • Outstanding communications and client-facing skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field of study
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S.

- Create formal documentation including memorandums, reports, status reports, etc.

QUALIFICATIONS:

The position is that of an Energy Project Development Engineer working both at customer sites identifying measures for implementation, as well as performing office work to analyze measures to achieve budget, savings or payback criteria. The project engineer will provide energy analysis and savings calculations to prove out energy savings and qualify measures and project packages for the highest incentives available from utility company energy programs. This person will also contribute toward the growth of the engineering department and the company.

Energy Engineering responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following:

  • Identifying non-lighting electrical and mechanical (all fuels) energy efficiency measures through site visits and analyses. It shall also include outline plans and specifications for projects or the management of outside consulting engineers for detailed plans and specifications. It is important to note that this company relies on a strong & robust stable of subcontractors to develop project scopes and cost estimates. 80-90% of scope comes from the intended installer.
  • Building modelling and performing calculations of energy savings
  • Generating technical reports and proposals that include cost, savings, utility incentives, potential tax benefits, as well as payback and ROI calculations.
  • Identifying, selecting and pricing for subcontractors and products.
  • Preparing utility company applications and submittal packages supported by engineering and project submittals

The Senior Engineer Developer may deal with technical issues that include, but are not limited to, the evaluation of water and wastewater treatment plant operations, performance, equipment, and energy consumption. They are not only responsible for the technical strategies, but also for supporting the costing of solutions and the management of engineering sub-consultants. They conduct equipment evaluations, forecasting energy reduction or revenue enhancement for a given solution if applicable. RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provides Quality Assurance/Quality Control for design aspects of SI projects
