ENERGY ENGINEER |
Position available located in either
Western Massachusetts or Northern Connecticut

Our client is a growing company, looking for an Energy Engineer to join their growing team. This company provides owners and management of commercial and industrial facilities with cost-effective energy efficiency solutions specializing in evaluation, design and installation of cost efficient solutions. Working closely with the largest utility companies in New England, this company is able to access utility company incentives for their customers which has resulted in underwriting a significant portion of the project cost.

The ideal candidate for this position will have 5+ years of energy efficiency engineering experience. These positions require some regional day travel to project sites.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conducting on-site inspections & end use metering activities at residential, commercial and institutional facilities
  • Calculating and verifying savings for energy conservation measures using engineering and statistical techniques
  • Calculating energy savings
  • Utilizing and applying statistical, economic and financial analysis tools in support of business and policy analysis for demand-side management in the energy and utilities industry
  • Developing quantitative cost-benefit or risk models
  • Analyzing utility and energy efficiency program data utilizing Excel or other analytical software, identifying trends, summarizing program events, and identifying causal impacts on program results
  • Presenting findings and recommendations at client meetings
  • Documenting findings visually and/or verbally for memos and reports to clients and/or internal project teams

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelors or Masters Degree in mechanical, civil, or electrical engineering or related disciplines
  • 5+ years of experience working with Demand Side Management (DSM) Consultancies, Energy Service Companies (ESCO), Design Build firms, or Engineering firms (exceptional candidates with less experience may be considered)
  • Strong written and oral presentation skills and client interface capabilities
  • Experience with building energy models, energy use billing analysis, energy savings calculation algorithms, and installing building energy use metering equipment
  • Energy Auditing experience

Energy Project Manager - Developer
Located in the North Central New Jersey region

OVERVIEW:

Our client is an expanding energy services company that helps businesses, primarily in the Northeast, determine appropriate cost-effective turnkey solutions and financing for achieving energy efficiency in their facilities. Due to recent expansion they are seeking to hire an Energy Project Manager/Developer to assist in the development and management of a rapidly accelerating portfolio of energy efficiency project opportunities.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Perform detailed and comprehensive facility-wide lighting audits.
- Identify and gather requisite data for preliminary, feasibility-level assessment of HVAC/mechanical upgrade opportunities.
- Assist sales and engineering personnel in the design and development of lighting project specifications and cost/benefit analyses, and proposal generation.
- Schedule and coordinate internal and subcontracted resources for project implementation.
- Manage project implementation from beginning to end.
- Schedule and participate in utility inspections as necessary.


REQUIREMENTS:

- Demonstrated ability and 3+ years of experience in energy efficiency audits. Lighting auditing and design experience is a must, and HVAC/mechanical audit experience is a plus.
- Ability to design LED lighting and controls projects and assist with specifications and pricing for proposal generation.
- Experience inf fully managing large turnkey lighting retrofit projects from beginning to end.
- Excellent customer service and both written/oral communication skills.
- Strong ability to manage many details and multi-task.
